112 BARĀHIN-E-AHMADIYYA PART FOUR تو برول از خود بقا این ست تو در و محو شو لقا این است Come out of your shell of self-conceit, for that alone is baqa! Lose yourself in the Beloved, for that alone is liqā! او نه دانا که سخت مجنون ست ہر کہ غافل از ذات بیچون ست Anyone forgetful of that Incomparable Being, Is not wise, but totally insane. دیگری را نشان دہی کہ چو اوست دوست تابکے رو بتابی از رخ How long will you remain disaffected with the Beloved? Tell me the whereabouts of anyone like Him! عاشقان را بغیر کار کجا دو در عالم نظیر یار کجا In both worlds there is none like the Beloved; His lovers care not for any others. چو بدل آتشے ز عشق افروخت دلستاں ماند و غیر او همه سوخت When the fire of love kindled in the lover's heart, Everything therein burnt except the Beloved. بخش یزداں تا نه بخشد یافتن نتواں This, however, is a gift of God; No one can achieve it without God's grace. لیکن این آن کسان را عطا شود از خدا کز کمند خودی شوند رہا This honour is bestowed by God to those alone Who liberate themselves from the clutches of their egos, 1. Islam recognizes three stages in man's spiritual journey towards God: The first stage is فنا )fana-passing away), which is the total annihilation of one's ego for the sake of God; the second stage is بقا baqa-subsistence), which denotes a new spiritual life; and the third stage is لقا )liga-meeting), which is the state of achieving union with God.
