FOOTNOTE NUMBER ELEVEN SEVENTH OBJECTION 133 زمان مکافات آید فراز تو بر عیش دنیا بدیں ساں مناز The Day of Judgement is nigh, So pride not yourself on this earthly life. فریبی مخور از زر و سیم و مال کہ ہر مال را آخر آید زوال Do not be deceived by the glitter of gold, silver, and wealth, For all wealth will perish at last. نه آورده ایم و نه با خود بریم تهی آمدیم و تہی بگذریم We did not bring anything into the world, nor shall we take any- thing away. Empty-handed we came and empty-handed we shall depart. الا تا نه تابی سر از روئے دوست جہانے نیرزد بیک موئے دوست Do not turn your face away from the Friend, A single hair of the Beloved is more precious than the whole universe. خدائے کہ جان بر ره او فدا نه یابی رہش مجز بے مصطفی You cannot find your way to God, for whom we are ready to lay down our lives, Unless you follow Mustafa [the Chosen One]. ابو القاسم آں آفتاب جہاں کہ روشن شد ازوے زمین و زماں Abul-Qāsim [the Holy Prophet] is the sun of the universe, That has illumined the heavens and the earth. بشر کی بدی از ملک نیک تر نه بودی اگر چون محمد بشر How could man prove superior to angels, If there had not been a person like Muhammadsaw? نیاید ترا شرم از کردگار که اہل خرد باشی و باوقار Are you not ashamed of God, You who are 'wise' and 'respectable'?
