But since I was the truthful one, Ghulām Dastgir fell prey to the Divine revelation إِنِّي مُهِينٌ مَّنْ أَرَادَ إِهَا نَتَكَ ]I shall humiliate him who designs to humiliate you], and the perpetual humiliation which he had wished for me, overtook his own self. [Haqiqat-ul-Wahi, Rūķānī Khazā'in, vol. 22, pp. 353-354] Be it clear that what happened in Kabul after the mar- tyrdom of Maulavi Şāhibzāda 'Abdul Latif was also a Divine sign in my favour. Since the murder of this innocent martyr was intended to humiliate me, Divine wrath drew the sword of His fury at Kabul. A severe cholera broke out in the city after the murder of this innocent martyr, and most of those who had taken part in the conspiracy of murder fell victim to it. The house of the Amir of Kabul itself suffered fatalities and became a scene of mourning. Thousands of peo- ple who were rejoicing over this murder also fell prey to death. The cholera epidemic struck with such fe- rocity as was never witnessed in Kabul before. Thus, the Revelation إِنِّي مُهِينٌ مَّنْ أَرَادَ إِهَا نَتَكَ was fulfilled in this case also. بنگر که خونِ ناحق پروانه شمع را چنداں اماں نه داد که شب را سحر کنند 52 [Haqiqat-ul-Waļī, Rūķānī Khazā'in, vol. 22, p. 364] The following are the details of the sign relating to the mubahala initiated by Charāgh Dīn.
