Status of the Promised Messiahas وَإِنِّي عَلَى مَقَامِ الْخَتُمِ مِنَ الْوِلَايَةِ - كَمَا كَانَ سَيِّدَى الْمُصْطَفَى عَلَى مَقَامِ الْخَتُمِ مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ - وَ إِنَّهُ خَاتَمُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَأَنَا خَاتَمُ الْأَوْلِيَاءِ - لَا وَلِيَّ بَعْدِي - إِلَّا الَّذِي هُوَ مِنِّي وَ عَلَى عَهْدِى - وَ إِنِّي أُرْسِلْتُ مِنْ رَّبِّي بِكُلِّ قُوَّةٍ وَ بَرَكَةٍ وَ عِزَّةٍ - وَ إِنَّ قَدَمِي هَذِهِ عَلَى مَنَارَةٍ خُتِمَ عَلَيْهَا كُلُّ رِفْعَةٍ * 79 [Khutbah Ilhamiyyah, Rūķānī Khazā'in, vol. 16, pp. 69-70] I am the one whose advent had been promised by God. Yes, I am the one whose advent had been fore- told by all the Prophetsas. [Malfūzāt, vol. 3, p. 65] Names of Other Prophets God Almighty has not only named me 'Īsā, but has bestowed upon me the names of all the Prophetsas, from the beginning to the end. Hence, in earlier parts of Brāhīn-e-Ahmadiyyah, God named me Adam, as He said: 49 أردت أن استخلف فخلقت آدم . . . . In the same way, in the earlier parts of Brāhīn-e- Ahmadiyyah, He also called me Noahas and said with 48 I am at the ultimate point in sainthood as my lord and master, the Chosen Ones, is at the ultimate point in Prophethood. He is the Seal of the Prophetss and I am the Seal of the Auliya'. There will be no Walī after me except one who is from me and is committed to me. I have been sent by my Lord with every power and blessing and honour and my foot is planted upon a tower where all exaltations come to perfection. [Translator] 49 I desired to appoint a vicegerent; therefore, I created Adam. [Publisher]
