146 BARĀHIN-E-AHMADIYYA - PART FIVE So it is true to say that Krishna was the 'Dawud' of the Aryah nation, and that Dawūd was indeed the 'Krishna' of the Israelites. And it is absolutely correct to say that Dāwūd was 'Krishna' or that Krishna was 'Dāwūd. Time repeats itself. People-whether they be good or evil-the likes of them continue to appear in the world. In this age, God willed to illustrate by means of one person the examples of all the past holy and righteous Prophetsas, and I am that person. In the same way, the paradigms of evil people were all manifested in this age, such as Pharaoh, the Jews who put the Messiah on the cross, or Abū Jahl. The likes of all of them are present at this time. This is what God alludes to in the Holy Quran when speaking of Ya'juj and Ma'jūj [Gog and Magog]. God Almighty has also named me Dhul-Qarnain, for God's revela- tion regarding me says: جرى الله في حلل الانبياء which means, 'The Messenger of God in the mantle of all the past Prophetsas, requires that I should also have the characteristics of Dhul- Qarnain, since it is proven from Sūrah al-Kahf that he, too, was a recip- ient of revelation. God says concerning him: قُلْنَا يَذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ So, in keeping with the revelation: جرى الله في حلل الانبياء [The Messenger of God in the mantle of all the past Prophets, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon them. ] I have come as Dhul-Qarnain for this Ummah. And the Holy Quran 1. 'We said, “O Dhul-Qarnain!” (Sūrah al-Kahf, 18:87) [Publisher]
