SUB-FOOTNOTE NUMBER FOUR 435 There is a group from among the first ones and a group from among the last ones. In this revelation, the word 'Isā alludes to my humble self. Then, after this, Allah revealed in Urdu: میں اپنی چمکار دکھلائوں گا۔ اپنی قدرت نمائی سے تجھ کو اٹھائوں گا۔ دنیا میں ایک نذیر آیا پر دنیا نے اُس کو قبول نہ کیا لیکن خدا اُسے قبول کرے گا اور بڑے زور آور حملوں سے اُس کی سچائی ظاہر کر دے گا۔ I shall demonstrate My light and shall raise you with a demon- stration of My power. A Warner came unto the world, but the world accepted him not; yet God shall accept him and demon- strate his truthfulness with mighty assaults. الفتنة ههنا فاصبر كما صبر اولو العزم There is a trial here, then be steadfast as were the Prophets of high resolve. فلما تجلى ربه للجبل جعله دكا۔ When the Lord will manifest Himself on the mountain of diffi- culties, He will crush them into bits. قوة الرحمن لعبيد الله الصمد۔ It is the power of [the Gracious] God, which He, the Absolutely Independent will demonstrate for His servant. مقام لا تترقى العبد فيه بسعى الاعمال Meaning that to be the 'servant of Allah, the Independent and Besought of all' is a status that is bestowed through special bounty. It cannot be achieved through efforts.
