152 BARĀHIN-E-AHMADIYYA PART THREE وَقَالُوا يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِي نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الذِّكْرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجْنُونَ 1 And they addressed the Messenger and said, 'O you to whom this Exhortation has been sent down, you are surely a madman. كذلِكَ مَا آتَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونَ اتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ 2 Likewise, there came no Messenger to those before them whom they did not call a sorcerer, or a madman. Have they made it a legacy to one another. Nay, they are all a rebellious people. فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ 3 So you should go on reminding them of the path of truth. By the grace of God, you are neither a soothsayer, nor are you bewitched by a jinn, nor are you a madman. قُلْ لَبِنِ اجْتَمَعَتِ الْإِنْسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَى أَنْ يَأْتُوا بِمِثْلِ هُذَا الْقُرْآنِ لَا يَأْتُونَ بِمِثْلِهِ وَ لَوْ كَانَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ ظَهِيرًا 4 Tell them that if all the jinn and men were to join hands to produce another book like the Quran, they would never be able to produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another. وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِنَا فَأْتُوا بِسُورَةٍ مِّنْ مِثْلِهِ وَادْعُوا شُهَدَاءَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ 1.
